Clothes optional petition to HM Government
The petition raised by D. Collins asking effectively that the UK has asimilar level of freedom to that enjoyed in Denmark is due to expireof the 27th December. Some of you have already signed it but if youhave not and feel that the petition is worth supporting then the moresignatures the better. I do appreciate that the person who wrote this petition may have done better had he used a spell checker first. http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Nudity/ The wording is quite different to the “clothing optional” petitionwhich closed in August and received what can only be described as anunthinking rebuff from government. This petition will likely besimilarly dismissed but they cannot reasonably say that it is a matterpurely for local authorities. The Danes achieved their freedom bydirect protest back in the 1950’s and it may well be that in the UKand mainland Europe only more militant naturist action will changethings.

I signed both petitions but do not expect any action or comment from the powers that be. I think change will only come about by campaigning etc. a thing naturists/nudists don’t seem very keen on. Events like the WNBR will help as it spreads to more cities and the number of participants increase. It usually gets good press and, while it is not the main aim of the rides, it puts our lifestyle in the public eye for a while
